Analysis

The movie is about three black woman who work as mathematicican in NASA in first man(John Glenn) the orbit mission. The movie takes place in America in 1960s, during a time of racism. Scene starts in the office where multiple people work together. A black woman walks into the office and starts to yell to the boss in front of the other coworkers. She yells about why there is discrimination between black and whites, why there is no restroom for black people. In the 60s colored bathrooms are very common. In the movie most people accepted their fate except these three black woman. As she started to stood up to the boss, she says that there is no bathroom for black people. They also put stickers to the coffee pots to seperate the pots that uses black people. That time 60s were such a shame for humanity. The main character, who plays Katherine in movie, complains about discrimination. She says that they even in bathrooms even in coffee pots, which are normal human being rights, they face with discrimination. After Katherine’s uprising I think boss felt shame and breaks down to colored bathroom sign at be end of the scene. It was great scene that can show us how brutal discrimination was.

Monologue

To the bathroom , sir . There is no bathroom for me here . There are no colored bathrooms in this building or any building outside the west campus which is a half mile away . Did you know that ? 

I have to walk to Timbuktu just to relieve myself and I cant use one of the handy bikes . Picture that Mr harrison . I work like a dog day and night , living off of coffee from pot none of you want to touch . 

So, excuse me If i have to go to the restroom a few times a day
