I01The Truth Behind the LieIn this project, we will learn how people show truth and lies using their faces, voices, and body language to hide a crime. We will watch short parts from the series The Mentalist and learn new words about emotions, honesty, and investigation. Students will explore how people communicate truth and lies using body language, build vocabulary around emotions and investigation, and produce a final video or presentation analyzing a lie. Students will watch short parts of the show, practice speaking, writing, and acting, and then create their own mystery scene. As a final task, students will present a complete scene which they believe could be shown on Netflix with other students voting on the best idea.
